ABOUT DAFINA

Dafina is not your average indie artist – hailing from Malmo, Sweden her smooth, electrifying, but bold vocals can at times be hypnotizing. Although she began singing at the age of 10, where she performed her own songs at a children’s festival in Sweden, she gained her talent naturally from her mother a former singer, Melihate Zeqiri.

It was Dafina’s transition from Sweden to Kosovo (her birthplace) that catapulted her career to the next level. At the age of 17, she made her career a priority and gained popularity in Kosovo after winning multiple awards at Polifest. Her name became holistically known and earned a spot on the X-Factor Albania in 2012. Dafina grew up having numerous influential artists in the US, which helped encourage the artistry in her.

Since moving to New York in 2012, Dafina has been making a mark with her modern yet sultry hip hop and R&B working with hit-making record producer Rick Steel. Her focus single “Told Ya” off her upcoming EP, KING, amassed over 1.5M views within the first week of its release. She is also featured on French Montana’s single “Famous” (Jay Z’s favorite track of the rapper’s Jungle Rules album).
